We Have Always Live in the Castle

First Shirley Jackson read and I loved it. Super strange, great use of first person POV and unreliable narrator. Tension throughout. I need to put The Haunting of Hill House higher on my list.

There is a theory about Uncle Julien and Merricat that I won't spoil here but I think I believe it. I'll have to re-read to make sure it all checks out. If it does, it just makes me love the story even more.

The town is vile. My heart breaks for Constance. What a great story.
